FAQ: I am a Maryland Resident with a Maryland Wear and Carry Handgun Permit, I also have a Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearms Permit and a Virginia Non-Resident Concealed Handgun Permit. Aren’t my Utah and Virginia permits both honored in Florida?
Answer: While the states of Utah and Virginia both issue concealed carry licenses to qualified individuals who are non-residents, those non-resident licenses cannot be honored under Florida’s reciprocity provision. Florida honors Utah Resident Concealed Firearms Permit and the Virginia Resident Concealed Handgun Permit, unfortunately your Non-Resident Utah and Non-Resident Virginia Licenses as well as your Maryland Wear and Carry Handgun Permit are not honored in Florida, you must obtain a Florida Concealed Weapon License in order to carry in Florida.
